Pricing

For buyers

Each package has its own price set by the vendor. There is no marketplace-wide subscription or per-seat fee. You pay the vendor's listed price at checkout, the licence activates straight away, and you can install the package with Composer. Refund requests are reviewed by Packagento; see Refunds and disputes.

For vendors

Vendors choose one of three pricing models per package:

• Free - zero cost to the buyer, zero platform fee. The buyer goes through checkout but no card is charged.
• Paid - the buyer pays once and gets a permanent licence. You receive the sale amount minus the platform fee.
• Subscription - the buyer is charged yearly. Each renewal pays out to you on the same terms as a one-off sale. If the buyer cancels, the licence stays active until the end of the current period and then ends.

Platform fee

Packagento is currently in private pilot. A percentage of every paid sale is taken as a platform fee. You see the gross sale, the platform fee, and your share on your earnings page. Free packages carry no fee. The exact percentage is set per vendor during the pilot and will be published here in advance of public launch.

Tax

Packagento operates as the marketplace facilitator and the vendor is the seller of record for each sale. Tax is collected on the vendor's behalf according to the tax registrations the vendor has in place; where a vendor has no registration covering the buyer's location, tax is not added at checkout.
