Vendors
Apply to be a vendor
Apply, get reviewed, then start publishing.
Create or sign in to a Packagento account
Vendors and buyers share the same account base. If you've already bought a package, you can apply to be a vendor with the same login.
Submit the application
Open the vendor application form and provide:
- Display name, how your vendor profile shows in the registry.
- Slug, the lowercase namespace used in package names (e.g.
acme/for acme/hello-world). Lowercase letters, numbers, and internal hyphens only; the first and last character must be a letter or number. A short list of reserved words (such asadmin, packages, vendor, checkout) cannot be used as slugs and the form will reject them. - Description, one paragraph about who you are and what you publish.
- Website, your company URL (optional but recommended).
Before you submit, you must read and accept the current Vendor Terms of Service. The terms cover your role as Merchant of Record, refund handling, payouts, and tax responsibilities. If we update the terms, you are prompted to re-accept the new version on your next visit.
Submitting the form sends your application to Packagento for review.
Wait for review
Applications are reviewed by hand and most are answered within a few business days. While you wait, you can already start onboarding (Git and Stripe). Your packages will not be visible to buyers until your application is approved.
You receive an email when the review completes. If approved, continue to Vendor onboarding. If we need changes, the email lists the reason and you can revise and resubmit.
After approval
Head to the Vendor onboarding doc to connect Git, set up Stripe Connect, and publish your first package.
