Requirements

  • Magento Community Edition 2.1.x-2.4.x or Magento Enterprise Edition 2.1.x-2.4.x

Installation Method 1 - Installing via composer

  • Open command line
  • Using command "cd" navigate to your magento2 root directory
  • Run the commands:
composer require magefan/shopify-blog-migration
php bin/magento setup:upgrade
php bin/magento setup:di:compile
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

Installation Method 2 - Installing via FTP using archive

  • Install Magefan Community Extension first
  • Download ZIP Archive
  • Extract files
  • In your Magento 2 root directory create folder app/code/Magefan/ShopifyBlogExport
  • Copy files and folders from archive to that folder
  • In command line, using "cd", navigate to your Magento 2 root directory
  • Run the commands:
php bin/magento setup:upgrade
php bin/magento setup:di:compile
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

Usage

Navigate to Magento 2 Admin Panel > Content > Shopify Blog > Export and choose the blog extension (Magefan, Mageplaza or Mirasvit). Then select the destination:

  • Magefan Blog App — to the Magefan Blog App for Shopify. Paste the key from Shopify Admin > Apps > Magefan Blog > Configuration.
  • Shopify default blog — to the native Shopify blog with the Blog Import app by Magefan. Paste the connection key from the app. Posts (disabled posts are imported as hidden), categories as separate Shopify blogs, tags, authors, images and SEO data are exported. Images stored in pub/media are uploaded straight to Shopify, so it also works on stores that are not publicly reachable. Once all posts are sent you can close the page; the import continues in Shopify.

Compatibility

Each Magento release line is installed on its supported PHP versions, then the module is built (DI compilation + static-content deploy) and its unit and integration suites are run. The matrix shows the lines and PHP versions the module is confirmed to install and run on. Code-quality results further down (phpstan, phpcs, …) are reported separately and never affect compatibility.

Code Quality

Advisory checks against the module's source. Static analysis runs once across the whole module; PHPStan re-runs per Magento + PHP version because resolvable symbols differ between releases. These NEVER affect the Compatibility badge. A phpcs finding can't make a module incompatible.
